A man was shot in the chest Thursday during a fight over alleged stolen property in Tulsa County, according to the sheriff’s office.

Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Casey Roebuck said deputies responded to reports of a shooting where they found one victim lying in a yard with a gunshot wound to the chest.

A second victim, whose vehicle had been struck by gunfire, was injured by shattered glass and is being interviewed by detectives.

Investigators say both victims confronted the suspected shooter over possible stolen property when a fight broke out. The gun used appeared to be a shotgun, Roebuck said.

The suspect, who deputies say knew both victims, was taken into custody without further incident.

Authorities said all individuals involved were acquainted and the investigation is ongoing. More updates are expected.
