Osage SkyNews 6 is Tulsa’s only full-time news helicopter, a Bell 505. Powered by the Safran Arrius 2R turbine engine, Osage SkyNews 6 can fly at a max speed of 132 miles per hour. It’s also equipped with a Garmin G1000H NXi glass cockpit that gives the pilot real-time weather radar, lightning strike displays and other weather information. And, with its HD Cineflex V14 gyro-stabilized camera system, Osage SkyNews 6 can give viewers a bird’s-eye view miles before it arrives on scene.
