Main Street Jenks has two new small businesses. Cajun Blackbird and The Mystic Pub opened earlier this year in an old gas station at 601 E Main St. Amy Smith is one of the co-owners of the businesses. She said one side is very laid back and beach like, while the other has a lot of weird vintage items and an art studio.

"Some people call it almost like a church because, you know, we lift each other up," Smith continued, "We get together, some people come every single day just to hang out, and then we also celebrate art because my husband and I are both artists."

Cajun Blackbird hosts a series of art workshops where Smith teaches people how to mosaic, work with mixed media, paint, clay, and make jewelry. Sign ups for those are posted on their Facebook page.

The Mystic Pub, however, is focused on music. Several times a week, they invite local and regional musicians to perform their own original songs and some covers. They also have a bar that serves crafted drinks, local beers, and non-alcoholic options. The full menu can be found here.
