Tulsa National bounced back on Sunday, beating North Carolina, 3-2, to win the Consolation Third Place Game at the Little League Softball World Series. Tulsa National finishes 3-2 in the tournament.
Harmoneigh White had another strong day in the circle for Tulsa National. White pitched six innings, giving up two runs, none earned, while walking two and striking out five to earn the victory.
Tulsa National jumped on the board in the bottom of the 1st inning. Palmer Miner got the scoring started with a 2-out double that scored Milana Flamminio-Littlejohn and Tatum Frisby to give Tulsa a 2-0 lead. Two batters later, White would help her own cause with an RBI double that brought home Rylee Whited to give Tulsa National a 3-0 lead.
Tulsa would hold that 3-0 lead until the top of the 4th, when North Carolina answered with a pair of runs in the inning to cut the lead to 3-2. North Carolina would get the tying run in the top of 5th, but White was able to get out with the inning with a pop up in foul territory. North Carolina would go 3 up, 3 down in the top of the 6th inning to close out the game.
Miner led the way for Tulsa National at the plate, finishing 1-for-2 with the 2-run double.
