Tulsa National Falls To Pennsylvania In The Little League Softball World Series Semifinals

Tulsa National's struggles at the plate continued on Saturday, as the team collected just four hits in a 4-0 loss in a rematch with Pennsylvania in the Little League Softball World Series semifinals.

Scoreless in the top of the 3rd, Pennsylvania broke through first on a line drive to left that brought home the game's first run, and gave Pennsylvania the 1-0 lead.

The game remained 1-0 until the top of the 5th, when Pennsylvania added a pair of big insurance runs. Mara Keefe singled on a deep ball to short that brought home the game's second run. The very next batter hit a flair into shallow right that found grass, and gave Pennsylvania a 3-0 lead.

In the top of the 6th, a Tulsa National error allowed another Pennsylvania run to score to push the lead to 4-0. Tulsa National had the game-tying run at the plate in the bottom of the inning, but Hennah Arias struck out with the bases loaded to end the game.

Harmoneigh White pitched another complete game for Tulsa National, giving up four runs, one earned, on nine hits. She also walked two and struck out two.

Reagan Bills pitched another complete game shutout for Pennsylvania, giving up just four hits while striking out 10 and walking one. In two games against Tulsa National, Bills pitched 12 shutout innings, giving up just seven hits and striking out 19.

With the win, Pennsylvania advances to Sunday's championship game, and will meet Indiana for the Little League Softball World Series title.

Tulsa National will now take on North Carolina in the Consolation Third Place Game at 10 am on Sunday. The game will air on ESPN.
