All the rain is causing some problems at Green Country lakes because of high water levels. Some campsites and picnic tables are under water, and a lot of debris is floating in the water.
Tens of thousands of gallons of water are being released from the Keystone Dam as of Monday afternoon. Many are stopping by the gates to see the release.
"A lot of water," said Kathy Cole, Broken Arrow. "A lot of pelicans eating a lot of fish."
Campsites around the lake are beginning to be impacted by the rising water. At Keystone State Park, the flooding is limiting some activities.
"I grew up on this lake, so seeing it so high is wild to me," said Erin Penny-Richey, a camper.
There are a lot of tree limbs and other debris floating in the water.
"We usually go out to Appalachia Bay where all the beaches are," said a boater. "It was mostly covered in debris."
The high water is impacting marinas around Keystone Lake. Some of the restaurants are closed and events are being rescheduled.
The US Army Corps of Engineers expects water to keep rising at Keystone Lake until Wednesday. However, any additional rain within the Arkansas River system could change the amount of water being released at several reservoirs.
