Tulsa Police arrest a previously convicted felon accused leading police on a foot chase with a stolen gun in his pants, according to the department's Facebook post.
Officers said they responded to a disturbance call with a weapon around 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at a home near 56th Street North and Peoria Avenue. Police said they learned this was a domestic situation.
When officers arrived, they found the suspect, later identified as Richard Jefferson, standing in the middle of the road. That's when police said Jefferson took off running and a short foot chase pursued.
Officers caught the suspect and said they found a gun in his pants, which was later revealed to be stolen.
The victim told police the suspect forced his way into the home and stole her phone before assaulting her.
