Game 1 of the NBA Finals tipped off at 7:30 Thursday night, but fans were outside the Paycom Center way before then, celebrating the team's success this season.

Fans News On 6 talked to say there was no way they were going to miss this game.

The big pregame party in the park near the arena did end early because of a big storm that blew in, but it didn’t drive fans away.

They gathered to watch both teams head to the arena, cheering for the Thunder and letting the Pacers know who they were rooting for tonight.

Thunder fans say the chance to bring an NBA Championship to Oklahoma has them feeling excited.

Some fans tell us they paid more than $700 a ticket just to see tonight’s game.

They say the chance to see the first game of a title run makes that price worthwhile.
