Oklahoma softball had a standout showing on D1Softball’s 2025 All-American teams, with four players honored the most of any school. Senior pitcher Sam Landry and sophomore outfielder Kasidi Pickering earned First Team honors, while utility players Gabbie Garcia and Ella Parker made the Second Team.
Senior pitching star has been dominant for Oklahoma in 2025. Over 33 appearances, including 24 starts, Landry has compiled an impressive 23-4 record. She has maintained a stingy 1.92 ERA while pitching 167 and two-thirds innings, allowing just 46 earned runs. Opponents have struggled to get hits off her, managing only a .198 batting average against one of the nation’s top pitchers. Landry’s consistent excellence on the mound has been a key factor in Oklahoma’s success this season.
The sophomore outfielder started all 57 games this season, boasting a remarkable .413 batting average. Pickering leads the team with a stunning .557 on-base percentage and has 18 home runs, showcasing her blend of contact and power hitting. Her consistent offensive production has made her one of the most dangerous threats in the Sooners’ lineup.
She leads the Sooners with a .418 batting average, showing consistent excellence at the plate. Parker has tallied 32 extra-base hits, including home runs and doubles, and driven in 49 RBIs, and .520 on-base percentage.
57 games (55 starts), she has compiled a .360 batting average, driving in 58 runs and hitting 20 home runs, leading the team in both categories. Garcia has also scored 48 runs and maintained a slugging percentage of .801
Oklahoma enters the Women’s College World Series on a seven-game winning streak. The Sooners swept through the Norman Regional and the Super Regional, outscoring opponents 44-5.
In their 18th WCWS appearance all since 2000, Oklahoma will open against No. 7 Tennessee, who won two of three regular-season games against OU.
Oklahoma has now posted 50+ wins for nine straight seasons and extended its streak to 18 consecutive Super Regional victories.
Other schools with multiple All-Americans include Texas (3), Tennessee, Florida, UCLA, Nebraska, Oregon, and Arkansas (each with 2). In total, 25 programs and eight conferences from Power Five leagues to the Mountain West, ASUN, Missouri Valley, and Conference USA were represented on the All-American teams.
