The City of Catoosa has officially canceled this year’s LibertyFest, citing road construction along Route 66 and the inability to secure a safe and logistically sound alternative location.

The annual Fourth of July celebration is traditionally held at Rogers Point Park, but ongoing infrastructure work has made that site unusable for the 2025 event.

City and Chamber leaders, along with the Catoosa City Council, explored several backup locations — including Rodger Berry Sports Complex, Catoosa High School’s football stadium, Cherokee Street, and even the Blue Whale — but determined that none could adequately meet the festival’s safety and logistical requirements.

Officials encouraged families to explore nearby holiday events this summer and expressed hopes for a full return of LibertyFest in 2026.

“We hope you have a wonderful and festive June and July,” the city said in a statement.
