Tulsa police investigate shooting near 51st and Yale

Tulsa police are investigating a shooting that happened early Wednesday morning at the Studio Star Extended Stay Hotel near 51st Street and Yale Avenue.

Officers responded to the scene and confirmed one person was shot multiple times in the arms and legs, according to police.

The victim was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Their condition has not been released.

Police said they do have a person of interest, but the relationship between that person and the victim is unknown at this time.

Detectives spoke with several witnesses, though most said they didn’t hear anything other than gunfire. Investigators are still working to gather more information.
