Tulsa man charged with raping a woman he met on a dating app

A Tulsa man has been charged with rape after investigators say he attacked a woman he met on a dating app earlier this year.

According to an affidavit, the victim told investigators she went to pick up Isaac Degohounkpe for a date at his apartment in February. When she arrived, Degohounkpe told her he had forgotten something and asked her to come inside.

Once inside, investigators say Degohounkpe raped her.

Authorities said Degohounkpe initially claimed he did not know the woman, even though her name and phone number were found in his phone. He later changed his statement and told police the two had consensual sex.

Degohounkpe is charged with first degree rape by force and fear.
