Tulsa Police are investigating after they say a teenage girl was intentionally hit by a car following a fight overnight near 75th and Memorial.
Police were called around 12:30 a.m. Monday morning, to a neighborhood near 75th and Memorial for reports of a fight involving juveniles.
When officers arrived, they found a teenage girl had been struck by a car. Investigators believe everyone involved knew each other.
The girl was taken to the hospital. As of Monday morning, officers said she is expected to recover, though her exact injuries have not been released.
The car involved was no longer at the scene when police arrived. However, investigators later found it abandoned near 71st and Memorial.
Tulsa Police Lt. Robert Bowman said officers are still piecing together what happened.
“We have a scene here and then we have a scene elsewhere with a possible suspect vehicle, so we’re trying to put everything together and make sure we get all the evidence and understanding of what happened tonight,” Bowman said.
Police say the vehicle had significant front-end damage and was leaking fluid when it was found.
As of Monday morning, no arrests have been made, and the driver has not been located.
Authorities are continuing to investigate and are working to determine exactly what led up to the incident.
