Tisdale’s Cigar Lounge L.L.C. officially opened May 13, 2025, in downtown Tulsa on historic Black Wall Street. The launch date holds personal significance for owner Rodney Tisdale—it coincided with his son's birthday.

The concept for the lounge was inspired by the cigar culture and the lack of representation for Black-owned cigar and spirits brands within the industry. Tisdale saw an opportunity to create a space that celebrates both quality and culture.

A Unique Experience in Greenwood

The lounge offers guests a refined experience marked by a blend of classic elegance and modern flair. Located among the historic buildings of Black Wall Street, Tisdale’s Cigar Lounge aims to be more than just a place to enjoy cigars—it serves as a cultural destination.

Visitors can expect premium cigars, exceptional service, and a carefully curated selection of Black-owned spirits. From plush leather seating to personalized service, the lounge is designed to create a high-end, welcoming atmosphere for connoisseurs and newcomers alike.

A Career in Service and a Vision for Community

Before launching the business, Tisdale served as an assistant fire marshal with the Tulsa Fire Department, a position he’s held for nearly 20 years. His transition to entrepreneurship is driven by a passion for cigars and a desire to uplift the local community.

Tisdale’s Cigar Lounge also seeks to honor the legacy of Black Wall Street by creating a space where history, culture, and hospitality intersect.
