A new TV show set in Tulsa will premiere this fall.

"The Lowdown" follows citizen journalist and self-proclaimed Tulsa historian Lee Raybon, who works in a bookstore while investigating and exposing corruption within the city.

The crime noir drama, which was originally called “The Sensitive Kind,” is written by Oklahoma native Sterlin Harjo and stars Oscar-nominated actor Ethan Hawke. Hawke previously collaborated with Harjo on his TV series “Reservation Dogs.”

The cast also includes Kyle MacLachlan, Keith David, and Oklahoma native Tim Blake Nelson.

Filming took place in Tulsa and other areas around Oklahoma last year.

The eight-episode series premieres September 23 on FX and Hulu. You can learn more about the show from FX Networks’ website.
