The Broken Arrow Police Department is excited to host its fourth annual Cowboys, Cops and Kids Exceptional Rodeo.

Officer Mike Peale with BAPD joined News On 6 today to chat about this year's event, which is in collaboration with the Broken Arrow Roundup Club and designed to support children with special needs.

Peale says the rodeo provides children with the opportunity to engage in a mini-rodeo with seven fun-filled events, including a mechanical bull, pony rides, a petting zoo, and a unique finger painting station using a horse as a canvas.

The event is free to attend and scheduled for this Saturday, coinciding with their Rooster Days Rodeo.

It starts at noon with sign-ups beginning at 11 AM at the Broken Arrow Roundup Club Arena. There will be giveaways such as cowboy hats and other prizes.
