Owasso Police are investigating reports of someone using darts to harm wildlife in and around Elm Creek Park.

Officers say waterfowl, like ducks and geese, in the Elm Creek had darts sticking out of their necks and bodies. They are asking for the public’s help in identifying the individual or individuals responsible.

"Parents, talk to children, please, that this behavior is unacceptable. If this is adults, it's dumb. Either way, it does carry a criminal penalty," said Owass PD in a Facebook post.

Residents are asked to be on the lookout for anyone carrying darts, a blowgun, or acting suspiciously in the area. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Owasso Police Department’s non-emergency line.
