Tulsa man injured and dog killed after a hit and run

TULSA, Okla. -

A man was left injured with his dog being killed as they were struck by a car crossing the street near 71st and Elwood Saturday afternoon according to officials.

The victim was using a crosswalk with his dog when the incident happened officers say. The driver sped off and hit another vehicle, causing a chain reaction of crashes near 71st and Olympia authorities say.

The driver and the man hit were taken to the hospital, where the pedestrian is potentially facing life-threatening injuries according to police.

The driver could be facing potential charges.
