A new dog-centric social club is opening in Tulsa's Kendall Whittier district. Fetch Social Club is a private indoor/outdoor dog park, cafe, and bar to give people and their pets a safe environment to socialize together. In total the property spans 2.1 acres.

It is female-owned by Alex Mitchell and Audrey Cort who met 7 years ago while training service dogs. "We had our day jobs that were unrelated to dogs, but then when we would meet up we would talk about how we enjoy being around dogs, training them, watching them learn, and then also giving back when we get to pair a service dog with the individual," said Mitchell.

That shared interest formed a friendship. Mitchell and Cort would plan dog play dates to hangout, that is when the idea for Fetch Social Club came about. "We would sit in one of our backyards, drink a glass of wine, and watch the dogs play," Cort continued, "One day we were just like, you know what? It would be great if this was an option for everyone."

Q: When will Fetch Social Club open?

A: Fetch Social Club will have an open house on Saturday, August 16 from 12-4 p.m. To ensure a safe and comfortable experience, we ask owners leave their pets at home. We would like to really do a sneak peek of the space for people to come and see what it is like, so that they can make an informed decision about our membership options.

Q: Do I need a membership to visit the park?

A: Fetch Social Club offers two membership options, limited and unlimited, as well as day passes. The membership or day pass covers entry for the dog while humans always get in free. The perks of having a membership include; invites to member only events, a discount on retail items, discounted daycare rates, and quick check-in. The limited membership is $30 and includes 4 visits per month with a $5 entry fee after that. The unlimited membership is $45 a month and both can be canceled at anytime. Day passes cost $10 per dog on weekdays and $12 on weekends.

Q: What are all the amenities at Fetch Social Club?

A: Fetch Social Club has fenced-in indoor/outdoor play areas for both large and small dogs as well as outdoor patio seating and a dog washing station. Inside there is a retail shop, restrooms, a bar, and a cafe. The bar serves craft beer, wine, and seltzers. The cafe has coffee, snacks, and treats. There is even a separate menu for dogs with treats like peanut butter whipped cream, chicken jerky, and Barkuterie boards. We will also bring in food trucks on a rotating schedule.

Q: What safety measures are in place?

A: All of our staff is fully trained and will be in the off-leash areas to monitor the dogs. You can come here, your dog can play out in the park, and you do not have that dog parent guilt of 'I have been at work all day, but I really want to go to happy hour when my dog is still at home.' This way you can do both. We also offer daycare and have a separate indoor play area for dogs to cool off. Group classes and day training are available, too.
