Sultana Xiong has been a social media influencer for several years, but it wasn’t until the past three that she began treating it as more than just a hobby.
Since then, she’s built a following in Tulsa by sharing relatable content and connecting with others who are seeking community.
A key focus of Xiong’s work involves collaborating with local Asian-owned businesses. She noticed a disconnect between these businesses and social media, where potential customers spend much of their time. By helping entrepreneurs understand the value of digital platforms, she says she works to close that gap and amplify their reach.
Xiong has worked with a variety of businesses, including real estate professionals, beauty brands and restaurant owners. She says her heart lies in the restaurant industry because of its rich culture, heritage and the opportunity to showcase cuisines that many in Tulsa are eager to discover.
One of her favorite posts is a 2024 video in which she opened up about a severe skin flare-up. The candid moment struck a chord with her audience and sparked messages from others experiencing similar issues.
Xiong said the experience reminded her of the power of vulnerability and the strength found in online communities.
Xiong views content creation as a true art form, requiring thought, time and passion. Her process usually starts with brainstorming topics that align with her lifestyle, then shaping those ideas into engaging posts.
As social media continues to evolve, Xiong encourages businesses of all sizes to stay active online. She believes that in 2025, having a presence on social platforms is essential for reaching new audiences and growing a brand.
