Madison Jones joins News On 6 as weekend morning anchor

News On 6 is welcoming a new face to its weekend morning team. Madison Jones will make her debut as co-anchor of the Saturday and Sunday morning newscasts starting this weekend.

Jones, who grew up in New Jersey near Philadelphia, has a personal connection to Green Country through her husband, Tyler, a Claremore native and University of Oklahoma graduate. The couple met while working at a television station in Oregon about seven years ago.

Jones said she’s visited the Tulsa area often over the years and has watched News On 6 with her in-laws, making the move feel like a homecoming. “It’s where we want to raise our family and be by our family,” she said.

She and her husband have a 1-year-old son, Ryman, whose name is inspired by the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, where they lived for two years. The family also has a Chihuahua named Boomer.

Jones said she has always been passionate about storytelling and began her career in journalism after taking a photojournalism class in college. She enjoys cooking, traveling, and exploring new restaurants and coffee shops—something she’s looking forward to doing more of in Tulsa.
