Owasso city leaders have broken ground on a new $1.3 million Parks Office and Maintenance Facility at the north side of Owasso Sports Park.

The 20,000-square-foot facility will feature offices, workstations, breakrooms, restrooms, storage areas and garages for city park crews. Officials say the added space will help the department operate more efficiently as the city and its recreation needs continue to grow.

City leaders said the expansion will allow the parks department to better coordinate day-to-day operations, maintain equipment and streamline work for crews who manage Owasso’s parks, trails and sports facilities.

Construction is now underway, with the project representing a major investment in the city’s recreation and culture infrastructure.
