The Tulsa County Board of County Commissioners met for the first time Monday, since the Tulsa Area Emergency Management Executive Director was charged with having child pornography.

Tulsa County Deputies arrested Joe Kralicek last week after they say he sent and received child sex abuse images through the Kik app.

Kralicek's Employment Status with TAEMA:

County commissioners haven't made an announcement yet on whether Joe Kralicek is on leave from his position, following his arrest. Kralicek is currently out on bond.

The board briefly discussed Kralicek's position at Monday morning's meeting. Kralicek has been the executive director of the TAEMA for seven years.

The board voted to have Commissioner Lonnie Sims work with City of Tulsa Mayor Nichols on the next steps. The two of them are expected to meet later this week.

Kralicek's position is appointed by both the city and county so it takes both to figure out what to do from here. Kralicek has been with TAEMA since 2015 and was promoted to executive director in 2018.

Kralicek Chasing Child Pornography Charges:

Investigators say Kralicek sent and received numerous pictures and videos of child pornography on the Kik App, and uploaded several graphic videos in his office using his city of Tulsa IP address.

Investigators say they also found a video Kralicek had taken of himself having sex, they found videos of incest, and found sexual messages between Kralicek and a 16-year-old girl.

Court documents say Kralicek also had conversations with people about sexual fantasies involving children.

What's Next?

Kralicek is expected in court for the first time on Wednesday morning for his initial arraignment.
