The internet’s favorite animal is taking over the big screen this weekend. Circle Cinema will host CatVideoFest, a 75-minute compilation of cat clips ranging from viral internet moments to original animations. Proceeds will benefit local animal shelters and welfare organizations.
CatVideoFest is a curated reel of the latest and best cat videos. It blends fan submissions, animations, music videos and classic viral clips into a family-friendly screening. The event has toured more than 250 theaters in the U.S. and Canada and over 100 theaters in Europe.
Three showings are scheduled at Circle Cinema in Tulsa:
Tickets range from $7 to $12. The festival is open to all ages.
A percentage of proceeds from each CatVideoFest screening goes to local shelters and animal welfare organizations. Since 2019, the festival has raised more than $150,000 for shelters worldwide, in addition to helping with adoptions, fostering and volunteer sign-ups.
Organizers describe CatVideoFest as more than just a screening – it’s a communal experience. According to a 2016 Wall Street Journal article, ‘Watching silly cat videos is good for you.’ The festival leans into that joy while helping cats in need.
