Tulsa’s Holy Family Cathedral begins $3.29M roof project after 2023 storm damage

The Holy Family Cathedral in downtown Tulsa is preparing for a roof project after being severely damaged by storms in 2023.

Construction crews have erected scaffolding to repair the cathedral’s three lower spires with new copper shingles. The three lower spires have been an iconic part of the downtown Tulsa skyline since the cathedral was built in 1914.

The total project budget for the repairs is $3.29 million. All repairs are expected to be finished by the end of the year.
