Drivers near 36th Street North and Mingo may experience delays as crews pour concrete for a new bridge deck. It’s part of a major infrastructure project the city hopes to wrap up by mid-July.

City officials are urging drivers to use caution or find alternate routes while the work is underway.

Early morning start for concrete pour

City workers were on-site before sunrise Tuesday as construction crews prepared to pour concrete over the bridge’s deck. The job is expected to take several hours.

What drivers need to know

Drivers should expect lane closures and possible traffic slowdowns throughout the morning near the intersection of 36th Street North and Mingo Road. While no full closure is planned, delays are likely.

The city recommends using alternate routes during peak travel hours.

More work coming July 10

The morning’s work is part of a larger timeline. Additional construction is scheduled for Wednesday, July 10, and city officials say the entire project should be completed by July 15, weather permitting.

Check with the City of Tulsa or local traffic alerts for updates on closures and progress.
