The Tulsa Zoo is helping both animals and visitors beat the heat this summer with a chilly and fun event.

“Operation Ice Spy” is set for Saturday, July 26, from 10 a.m. to noon. For a $10 donation, guests can take part in a zoo-wide scavenger hunt, win prizes, and watch animals enjoy special ice enrichment treats.

Animals receiving frozen enrichment include Malayan tiger cubs, sea lions, North American river otters and Asian elephants.

The event supports the zoo’s “Mission ImPopsicle” campaign, which aims to raise $20,000 for summer operating costs.
