A driver is in custody after leading law enforcement on a high-speed chase across Tulsa that ended with a crash and damage to a business.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said deputies attempted to stop a stolen truck near 33rd West Avenue. The driver refused to stop and took off, sparking a chase.

Tulsa Police and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol were notified and assisted in the pursuit.

Authorities said the chase ended near Memorial Drive, where the truck lost control and hit a utility pole. A PSO crew responded to repair the damage.

The impact of the crash caused one of the truck’s tires to fly off, bouncing across a nearby parking lot and smashing the window of an unoccupied building before coming to rest.

The driver was injured in the crash and taken to a hospital for treatment.
