Tulsa police are investigating a shooting that sent one person to the hospital following a large gathering at an apartment complex early Friday morning.
Officers responded just after 3 a.m. to a report of gunfire at the Bradford Apartments, located near the Gilcrease Expressway and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. When officers arrived, they saw multiple people running through the parking lot.
While police were working to control the scene, a vehicle approached and someone inside told officers they had been shot. The victim was taken to the hospital by EMSA. Police have not released their condition.
Investigators believe the victim was shot during a gathering in the parking lot. Tulsa Police Capt. Jeff Edwards said a vehicle pulled up and fired multiple rounds into a crowd of people standing outside the complex.
TPD is still interviewing witnesses and has not released a suspect description, other than noting the shooter may have been in a dark-colored sedan.
Anyone with information is asked to call Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
