Volunteers with Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief are headed to Washington County to help clean families affected by the recent severe storms. The Washington County Emergency Management office says volunteers will be in the area over the next few days.

Here’s what they’re doing, and how you can get help.

1. Assessments

Volunteers are out in Washington County assessing and evaluating damage. Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief (OBDR) says this allows crews to know what type of damage they’ll be working with, and what equipment will be needed.

2. Tree Removal

OBDR volunteers on the chain saw team help remove damaged trees and other debris blocking homes, and limbs broken through roofs. Residents who need help with downed trees are asked to contact them.

3. Getting Help

Anyone needing assistance from OBDR can contact the relief group over the phone, or by filling out an online request form.

  1. Phone: 844-690-9198
  2. Request Form: www.okdisasterhelp.org/request-assistance
