Man accused of Tulsa shooting also tied to rape of teen girl, police say

Police say Ruiz kidnapped the victim at gunpoint; she escaped by stabbing and biting him. His injuries matched the description and a hospital employee notified authorities.

Tulsa Police say a shooting suspect is now also being investigated in connection with the rape of a 15-year-old girl.

Investigators say Ebher Ruiz was arrested in May after shooting at someone who was driving.

Police said that when officers took him to a hospital for treatment, an employee noticed he matched the description of a rape suspect involving a 15-year-old girl two days earlier.

Investigators say the victim told them that Ruiz kidnapped her at gunpoint, then raped her in his vehicle.

They say the victim found a knife in the vehicle and stabbed him several times and bit him to get away.

Investigators say Ruiz had stab wounds that were several days old and bite marks on his body. They also found a knife with blood on it inside his vehicle.
