A man was arrested over the weekend after Tulsa police responded to reports of a street takeover and pursued a fleeing vehicle that later crashed into a ditch.

Officers were dispatched around 11:25 p.m. on June 14 to multiple areas where reckless driving was reported, including an industrial zone near 27th Street North and Garnett Road. Authorities said several vehicles were trespassing in a parking lot in the area.

Police said when officers arrived, they saw a black Cadillac fleeing the scene and heading north on Garnett. Officers attempted a traffic stop, but the driver refused to pull over, leading to a pursuit.

During the chase, the driver lost control, veered off the road, overcorrected and ended up crashing into a ditch, according to police.

Officers arrested Pablo Garcia and booked him on complaints of eluding, trespassing, no insurance and malicious injury to property. Authorities said several other citations were issued for trespassing and traffic violations related to the takeover.
