The Oklahoma Insurance department is expanding its OKReady Strengthen Oklahoma Homes program to include 63 zip codes.
The department says eligible homeowners in the selected areas can apply online for grants of up to $10,000 to cover the cost of roofing improvements designed to meet FORTIFIED Home – Roof™ standards, with a hail-resistant supplement.
What are the new zip codes?
Zip Codes Eligible in Tulsa Metro:
Why were these areas selected?
“These zip codes represent the communities we want to highlight with our final pilot phase,” said Ashley Scott, Deputy Commissioner of External Affairs and director of OKReady. “As we work toward the end of the year, our team looks forward to working with approved contractors and evaluators and helping families make their homes more resilient to future weather events in these new zip codes.”
OID says it looked at several factors, including contractor availability, claim frequency and hail loss.
How can I apply?
Homeowners in the selected zip codes can apply online at oid.ok.gov/OKReady. The site includes eligibility guidelines, required documents, and income-based tiers.
For questions, residents can email the program at okready@oid.ok.gov.
