Deer rescued from wastewater tank by Owasso firefighters

Firefighters in Owasso made an unusual rescue after a deer found its way into a wastewater treatment tank on Sunday.

According to the Owasso Fire Department, crews were called to the city’s wastewater treatment plant, where they discovered a deer trapped in one of the facility’s tanks. Firefighters worked to safely remove the animal, which was wet but otherwise uninjured.

Once rescued, officials said the animal was released back to dry land.

The fire department shared the moment on social media, adding a bit of humor to the call: "Just another day where we deerly love our job."
