School is out which means it is time for summer camps. High On A Hill Dairy Goats in Kellyville has brought back its popular farm camp this year.
Owner Leah Chatron said these camps are a great way for kids to experience life on the farm and be exposed to a variety of farm animals in a safe environment.
What is Farm Camp?
Farm camp is a hands-on and educational summer camp for kids who are interested in animals and the outdoors.
Activities include games, arts and crafts, fishing, horseback riding, learning how to milk a goat, and how to feed, groom, and bathe farm animals like chickens, goats, pigs, cows, and horses.
When is Farm Camp?
Farm camp is already in its second week, but there are still two more sessions to sign up for in June. The camp dates are June 16-19 and June 23-26. July sessions are July 7-10 & July 14-17. Each day camp runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Who is Farm Camp for?
Farm camp is a drop-off camp for kids aged 4-14 years old. Campers need to bring a water bottle, sack lunch, close-toed shoes, and clothes that they can get dirty.
How much is Farm Camp?
Farm camp costs $200 per child. High On A Hill Dairy Goats requires a half deposit to hold a child's spot and the rest is due the first day of camp. To sign up visit their website.
