Mecum Auctions is back in Tulsa for its 5th annual event. It is estimated that about 600 classic and collector vehicles from around the country are on the auction block. Here are 4 things to know as a buyer and spectator:
Date, Time, & Location
Mecum Auctions Tulsa is June 6-7 inside the SageNet Center at Expo Square. Doors open daily at 8 a.m. and the venue closes one hour after the final vehicle crosses the auction block. The auction starts each day around 10 a.m.
Auction Lineup
The Tulsa show features a wide range of vehicles from vintage pickups and muscle cars to modern classics at nearly every price point. Among the highlights this year are several private collections including: The John Tanner Collection, The Joplin Collection, and Tulsa Community Foundation Collection.
Those collections include a 70's-era Porsche and MG, a vintage firetruck, a 1969 Ford LTD Hardtop, a trio of Corvairs, and a pair of Mustangs from 1965 and 1970. To see the full lineup visit the Mecum Auctions website.
Philanthropic Mission
The Tulsa Community Foundation Collection will be offered at no reserve and includes 7 vehicles. The sale of each one will go to benefit TCF's philanthropic mission. The organization was established in 1998 and helps nonprofit agencies, corporations, individuals, and families with flexible charitable giving solutions.
