From toddlers in jerseys to lifelong fans, ONEOK Field was packed with blue-and-orange pride. It’s become the place to be during the finals — and Friday night was no exception.
Penny Hammond wasn’t about to miss out. She and her husband arrived early and were the first in line.
"I’m a baller. Die hard. I played the game. I love the game — and if Thunder is gonna be offered on a large screen like this at the stadium, I’m ready," she said.
Penny has been to all three watch parties so far — and she’s not slowing down.
Fans like Andy Lively are dreaming big.
"Hopefully we can pull it off and get to Game 7 — or earlier! We haven’t had a championship since 2012, so trying to make it work," said Livey.
Concessions were flowing, kids were dancing, and families were soaking up the finals vibes.
"We went to our first basketball game in March — ever since then, they’ve been all about cheering on the Thunder and having fun," Arti Bhakta said.
As the Thunder face tough competition, fans like Terry Foster and Cameron Newton are watching every play with intensity.
Terry Foster:
"We’re kind of struggling, but we’re hoping we can turn it around in the second half. Tighten up the D, get some options going," said Foster.
"Good from the paint, terrible from the three… It’s good to see a little more fight than we did last game," Newton said.
The Thunder will play in Oklahoma City on Monday.
