OKLAHOMA CITY -
Several highways, interstates, and turnpikes across Oklahoma are closed or restricted today due to ongoing flooding and emergency storm cleanup, according to transportation officials.
Current closures and traffic impacts include:
- Atoka County: SH-131 is closed between US-69 near Wardville and US-75 near Coalgate due to high water.
- Bryan/Marshall County: The US-70 Roosevelt Bridge and causeway over Lake Texoma is narrowed to one lane between State Park Road and Willow Springs Road for emergency repairs. Pilot cars are guiding vehicles through the work zone between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily at a reduced speed of 35 mph. Officials emphasize that while traffic is shifted, the bridge remains safe.
- Cherokee County:
- SH-80 is closed approximately three miles west of Hulbert near the Wildwood area.
- SH-80 is also closed south of the Fort Gibson Dam due to a rock slide.
- Grant County: US-81 is closed from SH-11 near Medford south to US-60 at Pond Creek due to flooding.
- Kay County:
- US-177 is closed just north of Blackwell from SH-11 to Brake Road.
- US-77 is closed south of Tonkawa between Fountain Road and Riverview Road.
- Love County: US-77S is closed at the Lake Murray Spillway due to flooding.
- Ottawa County: SH-125 is closed about one mile south of SH-10 near Miami.
- Tulsa County: SH-20 is closed from Lewis Avenue to SH-11 near Skiatook due to water over the roadway.
Safety Reminder: Drivers are urged to avoid all flooded roadways. Never drive around barricades or through high water. Turn around—don’t drown.
Officials will continue to monitor road conditions and provide updates as the situation develops.
