It’s a big day for gamers as the Nintendo Switch 2 officially hits store shelves.

Fans lined up outside Best Buy locations across the Tulsa metro Wednesday night, eager to get their hands on the new console. In Owasso, we saw people lining up as early as 6 p.m.

Crowds gather at Midtown Tulsa store

Around 11 p.m., the line at the Best Buy near I-44 and Yale in midtown Tulsa wrapped around the building. To manage the crowd, the store allowed only a few customers inside at a time.

Nintendo projects strong sales

Nintendo expects to sell 15 million Switch 2 consoles by next spring.

The console starts at around $450 and builds on the success of the original Switch, which launched in 2017.
