Tulsa First Responders ambushed while aiding shooting victim. Suspect killed after pursuit

Tulsa Police Department confirm an ambush took place near 3111 East 56 Street & Harvard after first responders were tending to a shooting victim.

According to authorities, a jogger was shot in the leg and left on the street while the suspect waited for first responders to arrive. Once they were with the victim, the suspect opened fire and fled in his car.

After a pursuit, police say the suspect drove into a cul-de-sac near 5800 S Delaware where officers shot and killed the suspect.

The jogger was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and no officers were injured during the shooting and pursuit according to Tulsa PD.
