A former BOK Financial Corporation executive has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for stealing millions from clients over more than a decade.
Shane Garrow, 49, served as a vice president at a BOK subsidiary from 2007 to 2024, according to U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson. Prosecutors say that beginning in 2012, Garrow carried out a fraud scheme that involved transferring funds from at least 16 client accounts into his own, stealing more than $4.2 million.
Officials say Garrow concealed the thefts using wire transfers and cashier’s checks, then lied to clients by blaming “banking errors.” When questioned, he would return money or shift funds from other victims' accounts to avoid detection.
Garrow also admitted to filing false tax returns during the fraud.
He was convicted and sentenced this week but remains free on bond. He is ordered to report to federal prison on July 9.
