Shai Gilgeous-Alexander delivered an MVP-caliber performance with 40 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists as the Thunder bounced back from a blowout loss to edge the Timberwolves 128-126 in Game 4, taking a 3-1 lead in the Western Conference Finals.

“I just tried to lose myself in the competition,” said Gilgeous-Alexander, who sealed the win with clutch free throws and a final defensive rebound.

Jalen Williams added 34 points (6-of-9 from three), and Chet Holmgren chipped in 21 points in his hometown, helping OKC withstand 64 bench points from the Wolves. Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Donte DiVincenzo combined for 44 on 10-of-16 shooting from deep.

Anthony Edwards was held to 16 points, and the Wolves turned it over 23 times. “They just wanted it more,” Edwards said.

Head coach Mark Daigneault praised his team’s grit: “The shot-making from their role guys was ridiculous, so for us to overcome that on the road was a great team win.”
