A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect in the northern part of the Tulsa viewing area, as a severe storm is firing up in Osage County.

News On 6 Stormtracker Alan Hancock captured video of active lightning in Osage County. Hancock expected hail and wind to pick up.

Reeves said people in Pawhuska should stay weather aware as large hail and wind threats come with the storm headed your way.

News On 6 Storm Tracker Bob Rohloff reported near Billings that the wind changed direction rapidly while he was driving on I-35 overnight.

LATEST FORECAST: Severe weather threat continues for Tulsa metro Memorial Day weekend

A hail core southwest of Marland is where quarter to half-dollar-sized hail is currently falling.

Weather in the Tulsa metro is not severe, but small hail and rain are expected.
