News On 6 Chief Meteorologist Travis Meyer and Aaron Reeves are monitoring storms as they move across the state.
As of 6:50 p.m., these storms are not looking too severe but could pulse up in some areas to the east of Tulsa County later Sunday night.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for Cherokee, Delaware, and Mayes County until 8:00 pm. Rain and strong winds up to 60 mph are still possible for some areas.
Severe storms in the Oklahoma City area could persist into Hughes County and southern parts of the state by 9 o 10 p.m. Sunday.

Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Delaware, Mayes, Rogers, and Tulsa County in OK until 10:00 pm.
