Tulsa Public Schools is teaming up with The Opp Project, LLC to offer expanded Summer 2025 learning programs for students and families — all at no cost — thanks to support from Tulsa’s philanthropic community.
Programs will include free afternoon enrichment sessions and full-day 'Friday Fundays' for eligible students, with activities led by a coalition of local youth organizations. The initiative is made possible by lead partner Schusterman Family Philanthropies and foundations including the Sanford & Irene Burnstein Family Foundation, Coretz Family Foundation and the Flint Family Foundation.
More Than Just Summer School
Students already identified for targeted academic support this summer will receive an invitation to participate in the enrichment programs. Additional students at select sites will also be invited to take part in new activities that extend beyond traditional learning hours.
Afternoon Enrichment Activities: July 7–31
From 1 to 4 p.m. each Monday through Thursday, students at designated schools can dive into hands-on activities focused on:
Community partners delivering these experiences include Youth at Heart, Clark Youth Theatre, the Terence Crutcher Foundation, Tulsa Zoo, Global Gardens and more.
Friday Fundays: Off-Site Field Trips and More
In addition to weekday programming, The Opp Project will host “Friday Fundays” featuring full-day off-campus learning adventures. These are open to all TPS youth, but space is limited and registration is required.
A full schedule and signup details will be posted on The Opp’s website by Friday, June 13, 2025.
