Broken Arrow Police to host free self-defense class

The Broken Arrow Police Department is teaming up with Bethany Church and the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office to host a free self-defense class for the public on Thursday, May 15, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Bethany Church, 100 N Olive Ave, Broken Arrow, OK 74012.

The class will offer practical safety tips and hands-on self-defense techniques aimed at helping participants better protect themselves and their families. Presentations will be given by members of the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office, Broken Arrow Police Department, and Damsel in Defense, a group that specializes in personal safety tools and education.

BAPD’s Victim Advocate will also be available to provide resources and answer questions about crime prevention and victim support services.

This free event is open to the public, but space may be limited. Those interested are encouraged to email CrimePrevention@BrokenArrowOK.Gov to reserve a spot.

Organizers hope the event empowers residents with tools and knowledge to stay safe in everyday situations.
