Hundreds of Tulsa Public School students took the day out of class on Wednesday to bike along Riverside in Tulsa.

The kids hit the trail just after 11 a.m., pedaling from the USA BMX Headquarters near Downtown Tulsa all the way down to Gathering Place.

The students were then met with lunch, ice cream and lots of fun field day activities to celebrate the end of the school year.

The 500 students from 31 different campuses are part of the after-school Bike Club Tulsa, which aims to connect kids for positive outcomes.

"We want to build positive developmental relationships, and we want to see kids have positive outcomes. All the stuff that biking does check a lot of those boxes in this club," Bike Club Tulsa's Mike Wozniak said.

Bike Club Tulsa said all of the bikes and gear come from money that's fundraised throughout the year.
