The City of Tulsa set a new record for tourism with more than 10 million visitors in 2023, which are the latest numbers available.
Tulsa Regional Tourism says that's 300,000 more people than the year before and still higher than before the pandemic.
Those visits also led to an increase in spending, with $1.4 billion in 2023. That includes $442 million spent on food and drinks, $285 million on lodging, and $306 million in retail stores. All of those numbers are higher than pre-pandemic numbers.
The study also says visitor activity impacted more than 16,000 jobs.
