Tulsa Police have detained several individuals following a pursuit that ended near 1200 S. 101st E. Ave. on Thursday.

There was a significant police presence in the area near 15th Street and Mingo Road, where the pursuit came to a stop.

What Happened?

According to Tulsa Police, the situation began shortly after 3 p.m. when officers responded to a report of gunfire on North Garrison Avenue.

Investigators located a suspect vehicle near I-244 and Harvard and attempted a traffic stop. The driver refused to pull over, leading officers on a five-minute pursuit.

During the chase, the suspect vehicle lost its front driver’s side wheel and ultimately crashed. No one was injured during the initial shots fired incident, though both a house and a vehicle were hit by gunfire.

Police said four suspects ran from the crashed vehicle. Officers recovered firearms at the scene and took all four individuals into custody. Police also said an adult female and a 3-year-old child were in the suspect vehicle.

One suspect was bitten by a police K-9 and is being evaluated for injuries.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
