Mayfest 2025 brings art, music—and now fitness—to downtown Tulsa

Mayfest 2025 kicks off this weekend in downtown Tulsa, featuring over 100 artists, live music, food, and a new wellness program called MayFit, which includes a 5K, fun run, and fitness classes. Local artist Miles Rogoish is debuting his work, and organizers say this year’s event—centered around the theme “Stay Gold”—offers more family fun, interactive activities, and easy access via shuttle from OSU-Tulsa.

Tulsa’s biggest spring festival returns this weekend, and organizers say it’s better than ever. News On 6’s MaKayla Glenn has a preview of what to expect as Mayfest kicks off downtown.

When and where is Mayfest happening?

Guthrie Green and the surrounding downtown Tulsa streets

Friday: 11 AM – 11 PM

Saturday: 9 AM – 11 PM

Sunday (Mother’s Day): 11 AM – 6 PM

Note: Some streets are closed. The easiest way to get there is by shuttle from OSU-Tulsa.

What’s new at Mayfest this year?

This year’s theme is “Stay Gold,” inspired by The Outsiders, which was written and filmed in Tulsa. Organizers have added more family activities, improved layouts, and a brand-new fitness section called MayFit.

What is MayFit?

MayFit features a 5K run, a fun run for kids, and a variety of wellness classes—like yoga, cycling, and even sound baths.

Marquita Owens / BluPrint Studio Instructor:

"I feel like it’s huge, especially for Tulsa, to highlight fitness. Oklahoma is usually low on the health list, so it’s great to see wellness prioritized at such a major event."

Who are some of the featured local artists?

Tulsa native Miles Rogoish is showcasing at Mayfest for the first time.

Miles Rogoish:

"I make my own canvases or use mirrors and glass. I always draw a face—it’s abstract, and the shapes represent emotions people go through that you can’t always see."

He’s bringing 17 original pieces and prints.

"I'd love to sell everything, but really, I’m just looking to smile, shake hands, and meet the Tulsans that don’t know me yet," Rogoish said.

What else can families enjoy?

Mona Chamberlin / Mayfest Spokesperson:

"We’ve got tons of kid-friendly activities, food vendors, and live music on the green. Bring a blanket, grab a bite, and hang out all day if you want to—it’s totally free and family-friendly," Chamberlin said.

With over 100 artists, dozens of musical acts, and new additions like MayFit, Mayfest 2025 promises to be a fun, energetic, and inspiring weekend for all ages.
